Eagles Look To Soar to New Heights in 2019

Head Coach Angie Arthur took over the program in December 2018, at that time she had only two returning players. So, needless to say, she needed to get busy talking to local coaches and clubs trying to find some recruits

We have ten young ladies that are very talented. Coach Arthur, "I am beyond excited to see what this group of young ladies will be able to accomplish this season."

This year's roster is made up of several local girls from our surrounding high schools. We also have been able to recruit several girls from the Columbus and Dayton areas. Two of our returning players, Tory Cordell (West Liberty) and Allie Yoder (West Liberty) have shown terrific leadership all summer in the recruitment process and off-season training.

Coach Arthur thinks, "we may lack in size as a team, but we will make up with our effort, scrappiness and most importantly team chemistry." "This group has really bonded well in the short time we have practiced, and I am truly enjoying coaching every one of them," says Coach Arthur. "We have set high expectations for ourselves and we know that each young lady will put out every effort to attain those goals."

Our Lady Eagles open their regular season up on Friday, August 23 at UC Clermont with a 6 p.m. tip. Our first home match is Saturday, August 24 against conference foe Columbus State at 11 a.m. Tickets for all home games are $5 for anyone 10 years old or older. All Students, Staff and Faculty get into our games Free.
