2 more Eagles added to 2019-2020 Recruiting Class

Last week, Clark State head coach Chase Brown added 2 new players to the 2019-2020 recruiting class. Thomas Shire (Wickliffe Senior HS) and Colby Powell (Fairfield HS) are the latest signees in the Eagles growing recruiting class.

 

 

Thomas Shirer of Wickliffe Senior High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and baseball career with Clark State Community College for the 2019-2020 year.  "Thomas has the versatility to pitch and play first base for us next year. We feel he will do great things for us," said Coach Brown. "We are excited to have Thomas to join the family!"  As a Junior, Thomas hit .458, with a .552 OBP and a .583 SLG, while driving in 11 RBI's. On the mound, Thomas pitched in eight games while throwing 28.1 innings. He was 2 – 2 on the season with a 1.23 ERA, as he struck out 39 batters.

 

Middle Infielder Colby Powell from Fairfield High School signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academics and baseball career at Clark State Community College. "Colby is an extremely hard-working kid. He is a versatile player, that we look to see big things from come next year. We look forward to having him be part of the Clark State family," said Coach Brown.
