Lady Eagles Ready to Begin the 2019-2020 Season

The Lady Eagles Basketball team enters the 2019 - 2020 season coming off a 9 - 16 campaign in 2018 - 2019.

This year's team has three returning players and Coach Etter is entering his second season as the head coach of the Lady Eagles.

"I am excited that the season is finally here. These girls have been working hard in the gym. Their commitment to the program and one another has been impressive," says head coach Jay Etter. "We return three starters from a year ago who started every game last year, Liz Weaver (Shawnee), Brooke Starrett (Wayne) and Anarra Williams (Dayton Early College Academy). Seven new faces that are vying for the starting rotation. At the guard position: Karlie Alexander (London), Hailey Baker (Northeastern), LaMarrie Hawkins (Dunbar) and Lanie Lyons (Urbana). While Kelsey Boggs (London), MaKenzie Cauley (Triad) and Takoya Massey (Springfield) will push each other for the forward positions."

Coach Etter is looking to improve upon last year's momentum and get this year's team to double digits in wins this season.

The Lady Eagles open their season five out of their first seven games on the road. Opening night is Monday, November 4 at Tiffin University against the Tiffin JV team at 5:30 p.m. The home opener is Monday, November 11 at 5:30 p.m. against Cedarville University JV.
