Walls, Achtermann Earn All-OCCAC Honors

Hannah Walls (7) was selected to both the All-OCCAC First Team and the All-OCCAC Freshman Team. Taylea Achtermann (12) won a spot on the All-OCCAC Honorable Mention Team.

Clark State Community College had two volleyball standouts from the 2019 season. As the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference released its yearly accolades and All-OCCAC honorees.

Hannah Walls, a freshman outside hitter from Groveport, Ohio, claimed a spot on the All-OCCAC First Team. The Westland High School graduate also earned a selection to the OCCAC All-Freshman Team honors.

Walls attacked at a .171 hitting percentage on 136 kills during her 16 conference matches. She ranked in the top fifteen in the OCCAC in kills, total attempts, total points and points per set.

Taylea Achtermann, a freshman outside hitter from London, Ohio, earned a spot on the All-OCCAC Honorable Mention Team.

Achtermann, a graduate of London High School, attacked at a .168 clip with 140 kills throughout the Eagles' 16 conference matches. She was in the top 40 in seven different categories.

This is the first time in several years that the Eagles have landed multiple players on the All-Conference teams for volleyball.
